Project AWeSome Receives Innovation Award for Method

Team AWeSome I (2018-2021)—Ine Beyens, Loes Keijsers, Loes Pouwels, Irene van Driel, and Patti Valkenburg—received the Innovation Award for Method from ICA’s Mass Comm Division. The award was granted for their introduction of Dynamic Structural Equation Modeling (DSEM) to the media effects field. DSEM allows researchers to assess the effect of media for each single person. It combines the strengths of multi-level and structural equation modelling with those of N=1 time series. The award was granted at ICA’s annual conference on May 27.
